take part between 10 – 13 December 2020 to the
fifth edition of the “Mihai
Irimia” Chess tournament for visual impaired!
This known competition welcomes
chess players from around the whole world!
Spectacular chess games,
unforgettable experiences and the challenge of on-line playing on Free Chess
and Winboard application, accompanied by
many prizes, free registration and fair-play ruling led by the Tournament
Director Florin Jidanu, are the ingredients of an edition which you should not
miss.
You will play Swiss system, 7 games,
game time 15 minutes with 12

In September 21 - 29, 2013, an international youth exchange took place in Vratsa, Bulgaria. ICC in Romania” is a youth exchange project to plan, set up, organise and implement an “International Camp on Computers and communication” at the “High School for the Visually Impaired” in Cluj-Napoca to give an accessible, safe, secure and most challenging “stage” for 60 young blind and partially sighted people from 11 European countries. The “Let's speak up! for improving our democratic vision” project will last for 18 months from January 2010 till June 2011. It is conducted by organisations based in Forli’ (Italy) and Cluj (Romania) and will involve young participants between 18 and 30 years old. More... For those children who have behaved well, Saint Nicholas came a little earlier this year and, to their surprise, took them out, to have pizza at the restaurant. The lucky ones were twenty four students of the High School for the Visually Impaired in Cluj, who, accompanied by the Pontes volunteers, went to have pizza out, some of them for the first time in their life. In the period April-June 2008, Holding Brinel from Cluj-Napoca held ECDL courses for people with visual disabilities. The project ran from April 5 to July 5, 2008 was able to provide the visually impaired persons all means to obtain an internationally recognized IT certification. More... The Fundraising Campaign, which will take place between March 6thand and December 2007, aims to raise the amount of money necessary for buying a Braille printer. The acquisition of a printer is very important to Pontes, because of the great amount of brailled materials needed for the programmes we are developing. More... The Foundation for European Studies in Cluj-Napoca has donated to Pontes nineteen books, which value approximately 90 euros.
