Hello all. I was reading a sample of a book someone wrote about dracula's wife who died in 1462. Her name was ecaterina florai and it's a wonderful sample. it's in english but it's really really good. If you have questions about the story, post here.

Bringing up a long-dead thread for an explanation on the pronounciation of the Romanian name Ecaterina:
So, the phonetic form would be ekateˈrina
Hope that helps.
The name is still used today. Not extremely widely used, but used nevertheless.

Hello andreea. Thanks for the romanian way to say ecaterina. so it's shor t cat a reena? right? I'd like to know someone with that name as it's really pretty. Lol. You shouldn't have an a after cat, but an e like the first one in "elephant".
